We invited players from the Chelsea Women’s team – Jess Carter, Melanie Leupolz and Maren Mjelde – to join a number of female entrepreneurs at an exclusive workshop, co-organised with the amazing Chelsea Foundation.
The female entrepreneurs were invited to the ‘Female Entrepreneur Cadbury Heroes’ event, having previously attended one of Chelsea Foundation’s entrepreneur programmes, such as The Edge of the Box Club.
One of the attendees Christina stated: ‘I’m very grateful to Chelsea Foundation and The Edge of the Box Club for the part it played in my journey.’
The group took part in the ‘What it means to be a Cadbury Hero’ challenge where they presented pitches on the attributes of being a hero.
Carter, Leupolz and Mjelde then joined the participants to discuss their individual journeys explaining their heroes, challenges they have faced during their careers and aspirations for the future.
The trio then handed out prizes to the winners of the challenge with entrepreneurs Teresa Clark, Tashmar Smith and Maxine Binger claiming the prizes.
Teresa won access to the millennium suite at Stamford Bridge to host an event of her choice, whilst Tashmar scooped a Chelsea shirt and Maxine claimed a Chelsea ball, both signed by Carter, Leupolz and Mjedle.
Sam Gaskin-Kemp, Head of Education and Innovation, said: ‘It was fantastic to bring together like minded entrepreneurs to this exclusive event at our training ground. It was particularly pleasing to hear how our entrepreneur programmes have helped them on all their journeys and having the inspirational Chelsea Women’s players join us for an open conversation with the participants was a perfect way to complete the day.’
