Cadbury Creme Egg

image of creme eggYoung and old alike love these chocolate eggs with their gooey, sticky fondant centre. Cadbury introduced its first creme-filled egg in 1923, but it wasn’t until 1971 that the Cadbury Creme Egg hit the shelves. In 1975 Cadbury Creme Egg was advertised for the first time on television and it became an Easter classic across the globe. By 2008 the Cadbury factory could make 1.5 million eggs per day, and over 300 million are sold each year across Ireland and the UK.
